Creamy Summer Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup nonfat plain yogurt
  • 1 tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 4 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries)
  • 2 cups of grapes, halved
  • 3/4 cup pecans, sliced almonds or walnuts

Instructions

1. Combine yogurt, honey and vanilla in a medium bowl. Set aside.

2. In a large bowl, combine all fruit.

3. Spoon the fruit into serving bowls. Top fruit with yogurt and sprinkle each bowl with chopped nuts.

 

GREAT ADDITIONS/SUBSTITUTIONS

Chia seeds make a great alternative to chopped nuts that’s full of fiber and nutrients.

HEALTHY TIP

Store the yogurt mixture in the refrigerator for up to one week to use for an after-school snack!
