Turkey Burger

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 4 whole wheat buns or rolls, split in half
  • Optional: low fat mayo, other low fat or veggie condiments


  1. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
  2. Combine the onion powder, garlic powder, pepper, and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Line a sheet pan with wax paper, and place the ground turkey in the middle of the pan.
  4. Fold in seasoning mixtures and form meat into thin patties.
  5. Place the burgers on medium-high heat in a large sauté pan. 5 minutes per side.
  6. Wrap the buns in foil and place in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the buns from the oven. Spread a small amount of mayonnaise on each bun and top with the burger and any other healthy condiments, as desired. Serve immediately.
