Grilled Chicken Sandwich and Grilled Asparagus

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • Your family's favorite toppings (cheese, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles, avocados, etc.)
  • 1 pound fresh or frozen asparagus spears, trimmed
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Combine chicken, vegetable oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Toss until the chicken breasts are evenly coated.
  2. Heat grill to 350°F. Grill chicken for 5 – 6 minutes on each side, or until no pink remains.
  3. Place cooked chicken on buns and top with your favorite toppings.
  4. Preheat grill to high heat. Toss asparagus, olive oil, salt and pepper until evenly coated. Wrap in tinfoil.
  5. Place the wrapped asparagus on the grill for 2 – 3 minutes or until tender.
  6. Unwrap and enjoy!
