Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

  • 2 1/2 lb. pork shoulder
  • 1 large yellow onion, peeled and sliced into rings
  • 1-2 Tbsp. paprika
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup no sugar apple juice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. coconut oil, melted


  1. Arrange the sliced onion rings at the bottom of your slow cooker and place the pork shoulder on top.
  2. Pour apple cider vinegar and apple juice over the pork shoulder and onions. Next, pour coconut oil over pork shoulder as well.
  3. In a small bowl, mix paprika, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Sprinkle the mixture over the pork shoulder, rubbing it into the meat.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours or until meat easily falls apart.
  5. Once the pork is done cooking, remove from the slow cooker and place in a large bowl. Using two forks, shred the meat. Enjoy warm.
